Most coaching services start with a training plan. The Chase starts somewhere else. We start with context, clarity, and the kind of insight that only comes from years of racing, failing, learning, and staying in the sport long enough to actually understand it. This isn’t a subscription for people who need more structure. It’s for riders who already have a plan, but want to know how to make sense of it. If you feel like you’ve plateaued, can’t make sense of every nutrition trend, don’t know how to taper for your event, or need to digest your event performances, we’re here to decode all of that.

At its core, The Chase is a mentorship platform for one-on-one guidance that covers the things your plan doesn’t: how to think about training, how to read a race, how to listen to your body, and how to actually enjoy the long arc of improvement. You’ll get consistent feedback, strategic input, and coaching sessions designed to turn experience into instinct. This is the missing layer between DIY training and elite performance—built for people who want to ride smarter, not just harder.

What’re we gonna do about it?

  • Our intro call will cover your experience, current training plan or objective, goals and event types. We’ll make sure to cover your experience, time management, training load, nutrition, and equipment check.

  • What’s keeping you from your goals, how can we build a plan that helps you to have a breakthrough season?

  • There are such things as stupid questions, but not when it comes to cycling. This is a sport with philosophies, secrets, and hacks. It’s measured in seasons and months, not days and weeks. Whether it’s as simple as the proper way to wash and maintain your drivetrain or why coaches “get mad” when you don’t stick to Zone 2, we’ll arm you with the knowledge you need to be self sufficient and feel confident in any situation.

  • It’s not just about what you hear on GCN. It’s about how your body behaves and knowing how to listen. Everything from meal planning to macro tracking is part of our relationship so you can begin to understand what works for you and what doesn’t.

  • Race Recaps, pre-event nerves, Racing IQ, Course strategies, fears, doubts… let’s replace that with assurance of your skill set and know that on your event day, all you have to do is remember to eat because we’ve already done the hard work.

  • Tire pressure and size choices got you down? Numb fingers and perennially sore perineum? Let’s lift you up by cutting through the industry bullshit and define the best tools for the job knowing you’re not a pro, sponsored rider with free everything.

  • Injuries, crashes, illness. We’ve all tried to get back on the bike as soon as possible and earlier than recommended. Ease the panic of lost fitness and mental stress by learning how to overcome these setbacks.

  • It’s a science AND an artform. What’s a protein/carb ratio? What’s the magic window? How do I get rid of this saddle sore?

MEET YOUR COACH

RANDALL FRANSEN

Randall brings 15 years of training and racing experience to The Chase. Along with previously being a USAC certified coach, he’s learned hard lessons the hard way and has been working to condense that knowledge into transferable skill sets.

It’s not just time in the chamois. Randall has suffered from 20 years of Ulcerative Colitis; bringing an additional level of interpreting physical stress and hacks to compete as close to his peers as possible. With several Age Group wins, podiums, series titles and nationally competitive finishes at Unbound, Leadville, MidSouth, etc., you’ll have access to some useful knowledge on chronic illness, self-advocacy in the medical system, and bio markers to help set goals for your needs.

Randall is not a professional - he never was. He’s just real super good at sharing his experiences in a way that others can leverage and bring what is traditionally an inaccessible and cryptic sport into reach and focus.
